I'm in the processing of blacking out pieces on the car...curious how your tips are holding up against the environment?

If they're chrome or polished steel/alu, powder coating is the only way, otherwise the paint will could start peeling within a few days/weeks.

That's a good idea. If you don't like them, paint can easily come off...powder coating won't.

They look exactly the same as they did day 1. There is no peeling, flaking chipping or discoloration. Photobucket isn't letting me upload the pics i took the other day. I'll try again in a few minutes.

Duplicolor's high temp manifold paint in black. I figure if it can withstand the temp up at the engine, it can handle the temps at the back of the exhaust.

    1. Hit all the surfaces to be painted with a sanding brush on a drill. 100% scuffed surface.

    2. Paint prep/cleaner to make sure that all foreign matter is off the surface.

    3. Straight to the paint. You're not gonna want to use any primer on this job as it isn't going to hold up to the heat.

You can find this in my thread I started several months ago.

I've got an extra key and will just pick it back up when you're detailing it at Adams.
