Looks like I am comming into a little cash,to the tune of about $1700 bucks. Now heres my problem. What to spend it on?We all know its going to be the car but what part of the car??
    1) Coilovers. They come to mind 1st, however winter is here and should I lower just before then but I would have the height adjustability. Also, which ones??? I have seen a few deals and these would be coilvers I want. Set of PSS9's for 1500 maybe a touch cheaper,Stasis..well Koni for around 1100/50,or I saw H&R is having some special on theirs for 1150/1200.With any of the performance will increase. Hummmmm...
    2) Exhaust. Fast Intentions for sure and thats around 1200 or so. Catback, non res, xpipe, big tip. Looks Awesome, Sounds Great, No Real HP gains.
3)Wheels. Not enough to buy a set of sweet new ones,Possibly enough for a set of used wheel/tire combo that are really nice in good shape.Downfall, winter is here and these would have to wait till next summer but I could be on the lookout for a killer deal.
I guess it really comes down to function or form. What do you guys think? Any other ideas???

considering youre in colorado and winter is moments away... i would go with exhaust... however, if i may offer some advice... wait for holiday sales coming up, there will be plenty.

I'd probably go with the coils, you can't use them now but they're probably the best bang for the buck

I don't think Koni offers a coilover for the S. Where did you find them?

How about some other choices? If I had to choose between these I would go with the exhaust just so it would sound better. Do you track your S4? If not then the stock suspension is just fine, at least it would be for me. I like the OEM wheels..

    Re: If you were me.

Stasis center diff replacement and a cat back could end up only a little over your "cash" amount. Some overlap on labor makes them a good pairing.

You can utilize the diff and can enjoy the sound. It'll seem like a good change for the cost I'd guess.

    Re: If you were me.

You can't do wheels before you do a drop so no wheels and this leaves coils or exhaust. Since the stock wheels look fine at a stock height and winter is coming, I would do exhaust. You'll be able to enjoy it all winter which equals, in your case, biggest bang for the buck.

    suspension is nice but
    sound is intoxicating.

yeah but wheels arent a single purchase... if he buys wheels he cant install them until he does suspension... so either way its last place imo. the toss up is between exhaust and suspension... however considering its winter hes going to be fully raised... so whats the point? go with exhaust, or save your money until spring and go big.

    Re: If you were me.

if your a spirited driver around corners get the coilovers... if you just speed around in a straight line get the catback... it will sound like sex! I cant say anything for the wheels one since 20s are to big in my opinion and are going to kill ride quality.... i say get H&Rs and RS4 h-sport sway bars... will run you $1600-1700 if you install yourself

Funny, when I asked this same question back in May, many of the same people here who are saying get exhaust told me to get suspension first. Maybe the coming winter is playing a factor in their votes. Anyway, I say exhaust!

Do you even have a winter wheel set-up? We just got the Nokian WRG2 - it's the highest performance MS tire out there from what I have researched.

    http://www.nokiantire.com/en/tire_wr...?season=winter

Best pricing will eat up $1400. Discount Tire will match the Tires By Web price of $263 for 235/40x18, assuming yours are 18x8. 17's are $230 ea.

Punch out your wheels with 8mm spacers front, 15mm rear. That will give you some of the visual improvement you're looking for. Then, get the cat-back for aural satisfaction...you will LOVE hearing that exhaust every time you hit the right pedal.
Here's a pic of my stock wheels w 15mm. Zero rubbing even when lowered to 25.75".

ok....we'll everytime someone posts a pic of their S4 WITHOUT being lowered.....just about everyone responds with 4x4 or slam that....something like that.

and when someone posts a pic of their S4 WITHOUT exhaust.....no one gives a shit and still tells them to drop it more......

get a set of coils, best investment you could do......PERIOD!!!!!!!
