i converted to s4 bi-xenon's on my a4 today! w00t. anyhow question to those who have done it, how in the hell do you get to the headlight adjuster when it is installed, the high beam adjuster is easy to get to but the other adjuster is covered by the radiator support/fender. according to the bosch headlight aimer i was using i was pretty much in the area i needed to be anyhow, but just curious.

My '03 has a hole in each fender bolt flange from the factory, that you use to access the outer adjusters on the bi xenon housings. Use a flashlight to see the adjuster with. BTW, there is no "high-beam' adjuster. The high-beams are automatically set when the low beams are set correctly. Also, when setting the beam elevation, both adjusters must be turned the same direction and number of turns, for the lateral aim, only the inner adjusters are turned. Be careful not to run the adjusters to the ends of the travel, or the adjusters will be ruined.

Well, as I mentioned already, both adjusters are used to vary the verticle beam elevation. Turn both adjusters the same direction and number of turns. To adjust the lateral aim, adjust only the inner adjusters.(this is for S4 bixenon adjsutements only, do not use for single xenon adjustments!) Note postion of hole in fender flange, at "1". When the lowbeam is set correctly, the high beam is set automatically.

For a guide on how to configure an aiming target on a wall, see link:

    From Bentley:

    • Headlamp (right)

    • Adjusting screw on right headlamp:

    • 1 - Height adjustment screw
    • 2 - Height/lateral adjustment screw

    • Placement on left headlight is similar.

    • To adjust height, turn adjustment screws - 1 - and - 2 - with same number of revolutions.

    • To adjust laterally, turn only adjustment screw - 2 - .
