Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Anyone seen the Camaro specs?

    23k, 300hp V6 standard w/ 27mpg (auto)

Im not generally a new GM fan, but Damn that car has style inside and out, Retro style at that!

    Anyone getting one?

I'll be up for a new car in 2 years so I think im going to put it on my short list.
    Anyone else?

I hate to disagree with you but i have to regarding the inside. The exterior, i can live with and possibly may grow on me. But the interior is just too much for me. Just something about american cars...interiors suck and the technology is just as bad compared with the stuff coming out from Germany and Japan.

It looks to much like a Mustang from the side.Plus they couldn't get it right before after 30 years of trying.

The mustang is cool except for the fact that it doesnt have independent rear suspension..

I agree the interior probably has a cheap feel but I think that the style of it is pure retro.

I guess I'll have to wait and see when its available to drive.

I have talked with a few people who have driven them and they are completely sold on the idea of buying one. Not to mention to can get the SS with 422 hp for $34k and some time (maybe a year or two) they will release the Z28 with a rumored 500-550 hp.

I trust my source in GM. But again a lot has happened in the world/economy, so who knows if they will adjust for that.

Sick looking car at a great price! Interior is ugly as hell though, and I think they are a bit heavy. I was hoping with 300 hp that the V6 would have better times, but I think it is just to heavy. I had a '95 Z28 with the LT1 and that supposedly had 285 hp and I'm sure it would rape the new V6. Needless to say I would go for the SS!

I wouldn't trust anything said by GM as long as the idiots running it are still in place.

definitely a hot car, i've wanted one for a while but it's taken two transformer movies too long to finally be released and i'm almost over it...and 32k? Meh.
but as far the interior goes, i really like the spartan look and feel of it, it works well with the car, i'd probably get one in the future for a track car.

Well, I always like to play devil's advocate. Audi interiors are amazing, the contain the best technology, comfort, design blah blah blah. They also tend to peel and fall apart.

Japanese cars may not seem up to par because of their perceived look, but the quality I believe is much better. For example, my 7yr old civic has a simple good-looking interior with no problems whatsoever. The Audi i have has been prone to peeling buttons, my driver seat peeling off in the back, and the passenger tweeter popping out.

Not looking to fight, just trying to expand the horizon.

Thats because these cars arnt meant to handle. If you want that you get the Vette. Muscle cars are meant to go fast in a straight line. When 03-04 Cobras came out with IRS everyone bitched about it because of wheel hop on launches.

No it's because it's cheaper to make.
