used trunk lid. where to buy?

some of you might know im looking for a trunk lid. mine has a 850 dollar dent in it i guess. new lids are 500 unpainted. does anyone know where i could buy one used, maybe a junk yard online type of thing. any totalled quartz grey a4's out there?

IIRC, Genuine Audi Parts actually Miramar Audi in San Diego which isn't terribly far from OC. Regardless, Craig will ship large items but it'll cost ya. (I once inquired about ordering a rear hatch for a Q7)

wow 345 is the best i have seen anywhere. of course i would need paint. and for sure i would drive to san diego from where i live in the south oc. anyone ever have a body pannel painted? how much did it cost? i figure it would be cheaper sense i have the trunk lid already off the car and everything. thanks for the posts!!

i just called my local audi and had them redirect me to their body shop. The guy explained to me that they are the only ones to have the orignal metalic paint (im not sure if my paint is metalic or not) for quartz grey. he also said that if i got a new lid that they would have to blend the paint into the quarter pannels so that it would match because for some reason it wont match if they just paint the lid alone. He said that it was because it was metalic. i can not believe that i cant just buy the lid for 350 and have it painted for less than 800 all together.

just and FYI, the Quartz grey, is called quartz grey metallic. Y7G is the paint code. but as far as how much they are going to charge you for painting is up to the body shop! maybe shop around and ask for quotes!
