How do I fix this weak hose clamp?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Yesterday I was driving home and this hose popped loose. Obviously the car stopped running immediately. Lucky for me I wasn't on the freeway. After I reconnected it, I drove home. When I looked at the car again this morning, the hose had slipped almost off again just from the drive home.
Has anyone else had this problem? How can I correct this? I do alot of freeway driving and I'm worried that it will come loose on the freeway.

    Thanks guys.

Get a higher-end heavy duty hose clamp and tighten the $hit out it.

Remove the hose and clean the oil from the inside of the hose, the throttle body and replace the clamp. If its oily in there the hose will continue to slide off.

Thanks guys. There's nothing worse than a slippery hose.

That's how I like them. Make sure to use something like brake cleaner so when some of it goes into the hose it'll evaporate.
