    A4/S4 driveshaft the same?! NEED response ASAP!

    is it possible that the A4 or A6 (doubtful) use the same driveshaft as the S4? this would be for model year 2000. anyone got any info in regards to this? i kinda need to know now as i am about to place my order. thanks everyone.

    No, they are not compatibe. The entire s4 drivetrain is different from the a4. The only similarities is the transmission spindel and housing make them interchangeable with each other, but not without replacing everything.

    so you are saying the A4 driveshaft will not mate up to S4 tranny and rear diff? zero compatibility? makes me sad...

    S4 driveshaft is shorter than in A4.

    lol raxles...

    who do you think i have been on the phone with for the last three weeks...

    raxles doesn't have any in stock because S4 dumbasses don't like to send their cores back to raxles. that leaves me without a driveshaft and there is no f'ing way i am paying 450 bucks for a rebuilt driveshaft, or 1000 bucks for a new driveshaft.
