There are Audi's everywhere up here. Not that many modded though. There are so many BMW's because they are the perfect car for the Northwest. When Fall, Winter, and Spring roll around they stay in the garage a lot. Check out nwquattro.com.

Hey,

thanks for the love...

the best advice I can give is to take 5-8 pictures at a wide range of shutter speeds if you have a good enough camera it is a feature called bracketing however you can do it with any camera that has control over the shutter speed you will just have to do it manually...

the range should go from very underexposed (too dark) all the way to substantially overexposed (too bright) and every picture should be taken from the exact same spot & angle without any shift...this is imperative as you will end up with blurry lines and/or ghosting if you dont keep the pics aligned...i use a remote to make sure i don't move the camera at all

I use a program called photomatix which is pretty well regarded as the best program for this particular effect...

basically you just combine all of the pictures and then work with the "tone mapping" in photomatic in order to obtain the lighting and saturation you like...

the best materials for HDR are wood, cement, asphalt, and cloudy skies...basically anything that is heavily textured...rusted aluminum siding it also very good and bright colors...for example the graffiti

best of luck with it and if you would like any other info feel free to ask...i will be taken more pics now that I have gotten settled...tonight I may go out and get some on the Tacoma Narrows bridge...we shall see

I just registered on NWquattro and I need to come check out the dealership up there...the larson audi porsche down here is a terrible place...they are absolutely worthless...what do you do at the dealership?

You need to see how many audi's are in cali. Then tell me how many audi's there are here. I hardly ever see any. It's all VW around here. Tons of MKII and MKIII jetta's and GTI's all over the place. I'm serious when i say that every modded audi in washington is a member here. And yeah there are a shit load of bimmers here. Tons of random Asians (who some how have tons of money to buy all these nice cars when they barely speak english) get 750Li's and crap and then drive around like complete morons in their expensive car they don't deserve. I'm sure they deserve it income wise, but they don't even know what to do with themselves let alone a $100k bimmer. I swear, it's really annoying.

yah cali is disgusting...every 5th car is an audi of sorts...it is unbelievable
up here if I see more than 2 audis a day I am amazed while in cali I saw 4 audis before I got out of my neighborhood haha

yeah i just got back from SoCal and while i was there (on my way back to my hotel in Anaheim from Universal Studios) i literally all at one moment had an a5 one lane over and 2 cars back, a B7 a4 to the right and 1 car ahead, a B6 a4 in the fast lane, and another B7 a4 a couple cars behind it haha. Now i come home and i'm like... "MKII Jetta.. dumped. MKIII Jetta... dumped. MKIII GTI VR6... DUMPED!" And it gets even better, "old asian lady in a 750Li; young asian woman with 4 kids in a 740i; my vietnamese neighbor with her convertible 325xi" lol.

Maybe it's because I'm over on the Eastside, but I see lots of Audis everyday. I mean lots. Around for or 4-5 each way on my commute. I've only seen one modded one though and that was on the Plateau at night.

However, for every Audi I see, I probably see about 10 or so BMWs and nice Lexus SUVs.
