sso about 3 weeks ago i ordered a borla full cat back exhaust from mopac auto. they said it would be like 2 weeks untill they got it in. so i waited..

2 weeks went by and i called and they said they would contact me when they get it..

3 weeks went by and they called me and told me that borla had moved their manufacturing facillitys to another location and it will be another 4-6WEEKS!
like wtf.. i dunno if i wanna wait that long...

anyways what other set ups can anyone recommend cuz i might take it to a local shop... so i want it to sound similar to borla with that deep rumble sound. www.awe-tuning.com/media/multimedia/revs2.mov

The techtonics uses Borla mufflers, and I believe is 2.5" all the way through. Hell, I even think its cheaper.

My borla was too quiet as well. I took out one of the mufflers and it was awesome.

You could do the same for way less at an exhaust shop ... Not really any difference in piping diameter so no real reason to get that "full" exhaust.

Honestly any real glass pack style oval muffler will sound the same. But for quality you could just get a borla muffler or go with just a magnaflow. Those both sound about the exact same.

dowpipe with stock cat. i can hear the turbo hum louder because of the dp, but the exhaust is too quiet for my tastes.

not quite sure what type of sound you are going for but i love my APR exhaust, it's pretty stealthy but you can really hear it when you open her up, and if you want it a bit louder my buddy as the same system and he removed the pre muffler and it is quite loud.

i have the borla i personally love it its not too loud but you can hear it if you get on it especially at 4k it makes the throttle response much smoother it was the best $700 i ever spent on it yet

Any of them with a single 2" inlet.

Just find something you think looks good. GO TO YOUR EXHAUST SHOP They have dozens of choices (Call them to make sure they have magnaflow or borla beforehand if thats what you want).

Really they will all sound the same its just a matter of visual preference.

install a hfc or a tp with your borla and it will sound awsome. I did with my labree hfc. Also if i were you i would just do the hfc or test pipe all at once if you plan on doing it in the future. Install on a tp or a hfc is a pain but its a lot easier if you attatch it to your downpipe before you put it in the car. just my 2 cents

i heard TP are illegal in some states... how much did the TP/HFC run you?

yea im allmost positive tp's are illegal in bc, so i would need a hfc.

also instead of installing a hfc couldnt i just drill out the honeycomb insides of the cat.?

-2.1/4'' downpipe
-drilled out cat.
all 2.1/4'' cat back piping
-magna flow glass pack oval style muffler
- and no resonator

any thoughts?

The same thing happened to me also. I ordered a Borla exhaust and after a month it still wasn't shipped I got my money back and allexhaust.com has them in stock for under $700 shipped. I have a Labree HFC with the bor#14884 systems and it sounds amazing.

Yeah, my downpipe install was a pita. Im getting the ER test pipe soon. I like my current exhaust tone, but I'd like to be a liitle louder. If Borla is the loudest, then is Milltek and APR stock?

Ive got a 3" TP and Full Stainless Borla Cat-back and I personally think its too quiet.
Hell, I think that no Inline-4 should have two mufflers. But thats how it came so I installed it all.

I have a milltek with a tp and its quiet but it has a presence like a lil roar. When u go WOT it sounds beautiful!
Females say its loud...

I have the Milltek but removed the resonator and it brings the sound up just enough without being too much.
