    I need some help.

I have decided I'm going to use my RS4 reps for winter wheels and that I want a new set of wheels for summer. Buying wheels is easily the toughest decision I've ever made for my cars. I've narrowed my choices down to the two best bang for buck wheels that I like the style of....

    Enkei RPF1 18x8 +35 17.8 lbs Color=hyper silver
    OZ Ultraleggera 18x8 +35 18.6 lbs Color=black

So which wheel you guys think would look better? This would be on a 2004 Nogaro Blue S4 Avant. I would prefer to run 245/40/18 tires. Thoughts on that size of tire?

    Re: Wheel Decision

I saw a pic of a B6 S4 Sedan in Nogaro Blue and the black OZs looked incredible on that car. Anybody know who that is on this board BTW? I saw the pics on this board, but then couldn't find them later when searching.

I don't like the Enkeis on a car that isn't going to be tracked. They just don't look like they should be on a DD (especially one that isn't a sports coupe).

    Re: Wheel Decision

If I get the Enkei wheels I would then need to seriously think about powder coating them a darker color. Not necessarily black, but a nice anthracite color would look good I think. Silver will look OK imho. I do like the look of the OZs just a little bit more at this point. But they are heavier and more expensive...

    Re: Wheel Decision

I would prefer 18x8.5 in either wheel but they don't offer that size for our 5x112 hub. You do bring up a good poing though, what's the widest tire I can run on a non-rolled/non-shaved wheel well provided I have a wide enough wheel to run the rubber of choice? What tire do you plan to run on the 17x9.5? Also, what's the offset of the 17x9.5??

Is that wheel even offered with a 5x112 hub in 17x9.5?

Im going to run 265/40/17 (i want it to streatch a little but also get a good tire like a falken or dunlop or something.

Also they dont have that wheel for 5x112. So im getting it in 5x114.3 and then ill have the extra 1.15mm machined of each lug hole.

    Re: Wheel Decision

Also if you measure and do your math right on the ET you could run 18x9 front and rear. with a 265 or 255/35/18

Cause there is alot of room on the inside of the wheelwell

I see. I guess if you are willing to machine new wheels it opens up a whole new realm of possibilities on wheel choices. So I could do that on anything with a 5x114.3 style hub fitment?? If so I know my first choice of wheel already....

Are you going to be lowered on springs/coilovers or will you be at the stock ride height?

    Re: Wheel Decision

Don't get Enkei RPF1. My friend had them and they literally bend on every pothole. Enkei replaced them for him after a few months since it was absurd how many bends there were and it is not appropriate for the quality to be thus.
