My fog LED mod expierence

Sorry I hate to post another thread on this! I know theres 2 already but its mainly for people in so cal or willing to drive to so cal that want this mod. My good friend Mike who is the owner of canyon racer motorsports (www.canyonracermotorsports.com ) did this LED mod for me and it turned out amazing. Im VERY satisfied with the outcome, it turned out even better than I expected. If you are in so cal or willing to drive to mike, hes doing this mod for $150 and it takes about 2 hours or less for the install.

Installation went smooth, I can't stress how difficult this is on the s-line cars, its so hard to line these up perfect but we got it pretty damn close. Right now mike tapped the power it into the side amber lights but I have an idea for a switch that we are going to try as soon as i get the parts

I took some daytime pics right after the install and my camera sucked at taking the night ones so bear with me. I think tiptronic and krazy will agree with me when I say these look 1000x better in person.

Damn right they're bright! I finally saw how bright they are under daytime while driving when GothicSerpent(Ray) was behind me enroute to SanLuisObispo- his bright white Fogs and LEDs matched very nicely.

I hope you have an upgraded bulb for your halogens,(i had HOEN 70w Xenonmatch- with harness) so it matched the bright white of the LEDs- while i worked on my led/hid headlamps...

sounds good with the pix, thank you! Have to watchout with the aftermarket bulbs. Most are all higher Wattage so will end up frying your fog module.

I wanted to try to make the blank switch I circled in the picture the switch for the LED's. So far I haven't had any luck so if anyone knows where I can find one let me know. I know id also have to figure out a rig so it would work properly so that might turn into being a pain. My shop guy has an idea for a switch so Im going to cruise over there tomorrow and hopefully see what hes got planned

Im just using a good 'ol black switches for the upper and lower LEDs i got from oznium. i opted for the ones without led indicator. i routed them inside the car and affixed under the dash w/in arm's reach. Iam planning to relocate as soon as i come up with switch mounts

Since I didn't install it its really hard for me to comment on the install but if you ask me something specific I can probably answer / find it out for you. I didn't really find any other places on the car that I wanted to put the switch and I thought this looked like the best spot.

Just ground the black wire and then use either red wire for power input and the other red goes to the leds:)

YOu have a pix with the fogs on + LEDs? I'm stil debating if i want to do it b/c i know i will be using the fogs forsure and they are bright so might just take over the LEDs. Or i could just have the LEDs on as DRL and off when fogs are on.
