Just finished TC upgrade

Hey guys I just finished my TC upgrade, I had the engine out for about 3 1/2 weeks, so I had lots of time for polishing, painting and other upgrades. took for her first test drive, the acceleration is phenomenal, tomorrow I will load my stage 3 tip file and see how things go. Just a side note for anyone considering it, open downpipes with no mufflers = very loud and obnoxious. Tomorrow I will slide in some dynaflows and hopefully that will settle things down, once I am done everything I will post pics of my adventure

Why did you go with Vast over 2Bennet? I ask because I need the same treatment.

Also how long did you run with the TQ code, if you had one, and did you rebuild the tranny?

I like the customer service from VAST, I did have a TC code for about 3 months, didn't do a full rebuild on the tranny, just the TC. Going to try it without the valve bodies done.

Had a little time for test and tune tonight, can't say enough about my new TC and TIP file, car is much quicker than before, dont know how much to attribute to the TC and how much to attribute to the TIP file, but then again I dont care, all I know is I can finally launch with some authority.

awesome. Tip file makes difference but not that significant on launch IMO

TIP file makes a difference when shifting under hard accell, TC upgrade makes launching much more effective, especially when you brake boost

that' a what I thought hence my comment above. I had the Vast stg 3 tip chip and though it helped Shifting faster and launching even a little with no TQ limited it did not improve launching ability like a TQ coverter would as expected. If I kept the car I would have done that upgrade too. Congrats

no. For sale locally.Tough market though in Charlotte with the banking crisis. Major recession and housing market issues in the second financial center in the US. I et to it it for sale in forums and all. Plus not a big market here for modded A6. I haven't driven it in 4 weeks so I gotta drive it with a For Sale sign on it to help advertise.
