not to thread jack but im considering geting the gt2871r eli and i was just wondering what kind of power can be had? i have an AEB stock and i dont realy plan to build it up. and im FWD so my drive train loss is less then the quattro guys. i plan to pop a FMIC on it and a 2.5 cat back with a GHL high flow. and high flow manifold

well from what i have gathered with the right tune, you can get 300 AWHP, now with you being fwd you might be able to get some more than that.

I love it, but for my instance I dont have the right software to take advantage of the turbo. I running APR for the moment, even with that its more power.

if i can give you one word of advice go with chris tapps tune, and if you have the money get water/meth injection. He will add a meth file for an extra 50 bucks. I went with the coolingmist trunk mount kit with the labonte motorsports touchscreen controller and if was the best decision ive ever made, easiest thing to use and it uses your injector duty cycle to calculate how much methanol it pumps.

I wouldn't think it's a good idea to have an aggressive gt2871r tune with w/m on his stock engine.

I think there is only 1 or 2 guys running the REVO tune for a Elim kit on a 2001. One of them lives right here in socal and posts on this forum.

No, the AEB is a little bit stronger then the engine in the B6's and those guys really push the elims to their limits. So you shouldn't have a problem running a elim kit as a daily driver.

GIAC now also offers BT tunes for the DBW. Might want to look into it.

Happy if your use 2 driving a stock turbo, chipped audi. If you've ever driven a stock turbo chipped EVO or WRX I would have to guess a lil dispointment is in store.

I would have to say a chipped stock turbo evo and a GT2871r elim are not that far off from each other.

YOur knowledable and a virtual encyclopedia on Audi's and I have a respectful question that has been nagging at me for a bit. Why is it that our cars can't get into the 11's with 10 of thousand in work, but a stock turbo evo can dip into the 10's and even lower with a few gs more mods? Like we can build our cars with 100 more ponies and then still get spanked by the now less powerful evo/sti?
