I would like to know how to remove the shift knob (automatic) and the ebrake's plastic cover, any instructions (with pics if possible) will be appreciated!

theres a thread for b7 console in b6. i think that would be partially what you need. it requires you to remove the radio and heat controls. not sure about the knob though.

^^ thanks. I asked him, he actually removed the whole ebrake, but not sure about the cover.

    Anyone else?

Re: Help removing shift knob and ebrake cover

^^ thanks, I actually ended up peeling the button down to its black color and cleaned it. It looks much nicer now, so no need to remove anything in that area anymore.

Am still stuck on the ebrake's plastic cover though....

Re: Help removing shift knob and ebrake cover

the ebrake is a bitch, took me a while to get it out.
Are you replacing it with another oem cover? If so, you can see where the piece is hooked. Get a flat head screw driver and push the ebrake hook up (IIRC) from under the ebrake and try to slide it out. A little wiggle while youre doing this will help.

    Good luck!
