jack the front end, lie under, BAM it's in your face. Unplug the hoses and plug the new DV the exact same way.

Actually oil changes were really second nature. If I didn't know how to do something I would google it and find it in seconds.

i thought the forums were for helping people... not saying stupid shit like srsly ? for no reason... how does that help me, does it make you feel better you know how to do somethign that someone else does not?

look at my # of posts... and the date i joined here... i CLEARLY am new to audis or i would probably know how to do something that the average person who has owned an audi for much longer would...

if you arent going to help, dont post, dbag

I think it's that time of the month for rhino or something, normally everyone is pretty chill around here.

It looks like andyrew gave you the info you need, good luck.

Re: need FAST response about DV replacement! thanks!

thats what my plan was, i was just more curious how many ties to buy and clamps i would need to replace cause the shop i went to with a lift is was out in the country 20 miles from my place so i wouldnt be able to ask questions readily ya know? and me having not done anythign like this before i figured id bring a print off of it...thats why they make them right?! ha for people like me!

And i wont use you guys as a cruth anymore, ill just wing it and go from there... you only live once, live and learn ill ask if i need to, and in this case i probably could have sat under there long enough to get er done myself

All I said was srsly. I didn't even flame. Common sense/google will tell you to loosen the clamps and then connect the hoses and tighten. Its actually a lot easier than doing an oil change.

Re: need FAST response about DV replacement! thanks!

Wow some really angry people out there today.

Flynnr, The DV has 2 larger clamps about 1.5" in which a standard clamp will do just fine, just make sure its tight; also there is one 1/4" or so vaccume hose that I find doesnt really need to be clamped down (I have 1 tie wrap on it just in case, but it doesnt come off on mine and I see 25psi).

My link shows you the general, but your best bet is to match it up when your under there and replace the hoses one at a time as you take them off.

Good luck, post pics and questions if you get stuck!

Re: need FAST response about DV replacement! thanks!

i think this is the 3rd time i've had to tell the op to stay away from DIY mods in the last week. if your not mechanically inclined it cool as long as you make cash to pay someone else to do it . If not do a damn search on google to bare us your stupidity. If you cant even find your dv you shouldn't be replacing it. If you need a DIY for 2 hose clamps and a vacuum line then you should pay someone to do all your work.

    thread \

and to the guy 2 post above , of course it doesn't come off its a vacuum line. It opens on vacuum .

btw we are not angry its just these people ask how to replace the dumbest shit.Dude my air filter is fucked how do i get the clips/screws out of my airbox. i bet there is a diy out there and people cant find it its lame.
