Bailey BPVs... are you sure they are not leaking??

I happened to have some extra time on my hands last night and decided to regrease the bypass valves I have ( Bailey). So, I go to unscrew the plastic hose barbs and find out that one of them is cracked....so I thought to myself..no biggie.. Ill just thread in there a brass hose barb.....NOPE, a 1/8" hosebarb starts but doesnt go past the first thread... Nobody I knew of carried metric hose barbs so I tapped it, cleaned it.. and now it has a brass hose barb.. the way it should have come from Bailey!!!! Ok, I'm done with the venting... its just insane that you pay 150 a piece for those things and they wont spend an extra couple of dollars for brass! Not only that.. they make it so if you wanna go with a standard brass hose barb you have to tap it...

I have those, installed when I purchased the car. They def. have a loud "psshh" sound like a bov in between shifts, with these guys...does that mean they aren't functioning properly and leaking? I hold boost pressure great at 18 peak and 15 hold tho.

Note that in my case it was not the valve itself that is bad, and honestly.. the piston design is top notch (piston with rubber o ring to seal instead of a brass piston like some companies do). My problem was with the plastic nipples. One of them was cracked and thats where one of my leaks was.

Thats the sound my dv's made when the nipple was cracked on them.I would assume they are not functioning properly.I Ended up replacing mine with 710n's, i didnt feel like spending 300 plus on baileys, forge etc..
