I just had a stage 2 kit installed from AWE/South Bend. I used the stock flywheel since there is noone making a lightweight unit yet, and to be safe I had my stock unit resurfaced (cost about $25 at a reputable machine shop)
the stage 2 kit is rated at 300hp/300ftlbs and has a 20% higher clamping force VS stock. it is riveted / kevlar lined on the pressureplate side, and ceramic lined on the flywheel side.
So far i love the kit, it is still very drivable which is what i wanted since it is my daily driver!
if you plan on going with a BT later, i would suggest the stage 3 or possibly even a stage 4 (if you dont mind losing some of the comfortable driving)
the stage 3 is rated at 375hp/400ftlbs.
coatings are the same on the stage 3 as the stage 2, only the stage 3 has a 70% higher clamping force VS stock!
PS - when you get the new clutch, there is a 1000 mile "break-in period" where you are suggested to not boost, and absolutly no clutch dumps, full throttle standing starts, ect.
i dont beat my car, so the clutch dumps/full thottle starts werent an issue for me, but to go 1000 miles without boosting is hard! :)
