after the accident i'm replacing my cfiber hood because it's cracked

the first cfiber hood ordered through the body shop cracked during shipment

the next one made it fine but my body shop is telling me they dont want to drill the hood pins in because theres a 50/50 chance of the cfiber hood cracking.. wtf ?

can someone please elaborate or give me advice in the scenario?
ive already not had my car for 2.5 months and dont want to have these idiots crack it and have to wait 3 weeks for shipment again

    Re: cfiber hood question

Contact Wayne at A-1 Bodyshop in Huntington Beach. Install was cheap and quick. It's been over a year since the install and overall I am happy with no complaints.

It's going to look Ghetto but a few pieces of duct tape will work. Just check it every so often. I did that for awhile when I was driving on the freeway from point A to B. My max speed was 80mph. When your driving you'll be able to find your max speed. You don't want the thing wobbling.

Where in AZ are you. I know a place in Phoenix that can doit.

You do retain the OEM hood latch. With the Eurogear hood air would still get under the hood and it would wobble. The hood pins are for extra insurance and plus it looks kinda ghetto driving down the freeway with your hood shaking.
I assume you have a different CF hood.

you NEVER NEED hoodpins. But if you DON'T there is a chance it will come unlatched ect....so 98% of people do it to be safe. So def take the time to do it
