Does anyone know the size of the control arm pinch bolt?

That motherf*cker just snapped on me

    Thanks!

Edit: Ok, f*ck this thread (sorry for my vulgar attitude, but I am rather perturbed at the moment). I have to bring my car to the mechanic now to have that sh*t drilled out. Ahh, another week without my vehicle. Schedued for next Thursday and I already had my car down since last week. Aint life just grand .

Have you tried using a heat-gun or torch on it and then banging it out with a piece of drift?

I feel like saving myself the headache and having the professionals do it. I have too much stress to deal with besides adding more from the contents of my vehicle. Should not cost more than $200 for everything I need done. Hopefully cheaper.

What size is it? For the upper control arm - spindle interface? I need to know. The ones on my friend's B5 are not reusable.

What up Dougy? If you don't get an answer by next week, I will PM you the size. I will ask my mechanic.

I'm going to change a control arm right now. I'll measure it and post the size up.

    The bolt is 10mm x 1.5 x 100mm long, standard grade

Hey, just wondering if there is anything special to this bolt.[is it just a common bolt]. Mine is stuck in there as well, and by the time I get it out its definately not gonna be reusable.

Must be standard grade if it just snapped on me. But rust was the deciding factor.

Wonder if a shoulder bolt could be used. That could prevent the problems associated with the normal bolts as well as provide a much better surface to capture the upper joints.

If it makes you feel any better, I've been without my car for about 2 months now just waiting for a simple intake gasket. The mechanic ordered it from someplace that called hime 3 weeks later and said they couldn't get that part anymore. He then ordered from somewhere else that also called him later and said the same thing. He finally just ordered it from the dealer and got it in the other day. Now he's gotta wait till he finishes one of the cars hes got in there so he can fit mine in. Very frustrating
