Yes it can be done and there's a guy on this site that had it done before he sold it. You can find his pix in the galleries - its silver.

I think his name is mike kippen? He was the first (if I'm not mistaken) to "bag" a D2. He used to own a A8L, I don't know if he sold it yet. His SN here is ilomax you can PM him, if still lurks here. I've never really see him post. I PMed a while back about his set up. I'm still waiting for a reputable company to make a "bolt on" set up for the D2.
