i have a similar set-up to you. i have an 02 1.8t tiptronic and have had a k04 on it for over a year. it makes the car a lot more fun, but i am considering a GTRS eliminator.

if you're interested in my parts, let me know. we can probably just swap out ECUs. i have APR programming though.

Injectors, diverter valve, exhaust, intake pipe, TIP, and FMIC
If you decide to go BT though, then you'll probably want to go with REVO. Plan your build out now so that you can purchase for the future. It'll save you money in the long run.

    Re: Ko4 questions

I wouldn't recommend going K04 unless you include or already have a FMIC. The main reason is, I didn't have one, and it didn't pull much harder than my K03. It definitely is noticeably more powerful, but the need for and FMIC is obvious since boost still fades significantly above 5k rpms.

    Re: Ko4 questions

To run the K04 properly you need to have in this order:

    - software
    - k04
    - injectors
    - DV
    - intercooler
    - clutch
    - exhaust
    - TIP

If you are already thinking about how great and fast it is going to be with a K04 then skip buying that and get yourself something bigger like a GTRS.

I have my K04 installed for 10 months before upgrading it and the money I spent on install and software would have easily covered a BT setup.

    Re: Ko4 questions

The only reason i went with the k04 is because i bought the car with 225 injectors, intake, exhaust, APR software (which is only a ~150$ upgrade) and a FMIC. They stock turbo went and i was going to go with a ko3s again but the k04 was only 100 bucks more. The rest is history. The real other reason i did do a bigger turbo other then having to upgrade the injectors was I didn't want to have to do a clutch i believe I'm still on the original clutch.
