    *Official custom exhaust consolidation thread*

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
So there's quite a few of you with custom cat-backs from the treads I've seen. I think it'd be nice to consolidate all of your setups here for future (and my current) reference.

If you have a custom exhaust please list the following to keep it coherent and thorough:

    -Size of piping:
    -Mid-muffler/resonator (brand and model):
    -Rear muffler:
    -Tips (size, model, and brand):
-Complete price (if you don't mind, and maybe where you bought the parts):
    -Comments:
-Sound description (and clip if you have one):
    -Pics:

Whatever else you want to post about it, feel free

    Heres mine:

3.5" all the way back. no mufflers, stock dps but all cats removed. one dynatech resonator. all the tubing and parts were bought at summitracing.com. tips are magnaflow 2.5" inlet, 3.5 outlet. i can get links to exact parts if needed. i love the sound, but i recently put a muffler on it to quiet it down due to police warnings, so now it is fairly quiet. here are pics before i put the muffler on:

I've heard that some (all?) magnaflow mufflers don't work on our car because of the size...anyone know what the max dimensions are down there for the muffler?

I remember being told sometime last year in the area of 3300-3500 for the entire turbo-back setup. IIRC the cat-back is like 1800 alone, yikes!!!

Re: *Official custom exhaust consolidation thread*

I'm running a tru-dual 3 inch turbo back, heres the specs

    -Size of piping:3 inch I.D.
-Mid-muffler/resonator (brand and model):Dynomax Bullet resonators
    -Rear muffler:none!!!
-Tips (size, model, and brand):unknown, dual 3 inch, polished
-Complete price (if you don't mind, and maybe where you bought the parts):$550(minus DP's), exhaust shop did the cat back piping, resonators from Massive Speed System, DP's are Milltek Sport I beleive, they were on the car when I bought it.
-Comments:The biggest downfalls to this exhaust are 1. the bends are crush bent, and 2. at one point the driver's side pipe goes directly under the other and with how low the car sits, the exhaust is about 1.5 inches from the ground, so needless to say, I scrape EVERYTHING!!!, however the exhaust definetly opened up some power on the top end, mind you this was my upgrade from the milltek dual system.
-Sound description (and clip if you have one): I will post a clip the second the car gets back from RennArt! but all i can really say is Friggin LOUD with no cats and dual 3inch piping from the turbo's back and its rediculous, it sounds like a raped ape but soon I will be changing to a dual 3inch into 4 inch single to dual 3 inch tips with more resonators.
-Pics:sorry, im in a hurry, pics are here http://www.audizine.com/forum/showthread.php?t=237701

I'm kind of curious as to why you said you have dynomax resonators and 3 inch tips polished and also that it only cost 550, but in your post is clearly shows magnaflow resonators , what appears to be stock tips, and you said it was around $650?

S4evr - Dude, your exhaust sounds so amazing. Do you have any more videos?

Also, the ECU Cake video is hilarious. <----That's crying from laughing. Not sad.

    Don't make fun of me...

What do you catless guys do about emissions testing? Just put your stock exhaust back on? This thread is making me think about going custom when the time comes.

sorry about that, i got the resonators mixed up, and i just looked, its my focus that uses the dynomax, to many things to keep track of, sorry for the mix up, and the tips are aftermarket, they are almost like a dark chrome and they are tack welded together, as for the price, $650 is the price for the new exhaust i want to get made, it is cost for piping, bending and welding, i still have to pick up the other parts(resonators, tips, and flanges) $550 is the cost of this exhaust.
