My friend Joeski (new the the b5s4 forum) went out for a few shots tonight. I still have to learn the damn settings on the camera but both cars were clean and since he finally got the car registered yesterday, figured it was a perfect time to whore them out.

Surf looked like someone shot kermit tonight. The sky had it lit up green. First time I've seen that. After those shots I drove to my friends town to start the car pics.

Thanks guys. I'm getting better at weeding them out. Took 85 this time and not nearly all made the cut. Not like my waterfest and h2o pics where there was like 400 in each thread. lol. Sorry there are so many. We will be taking more tomorrow in a different location. Probably all at the beach. lol, I swear I'll cut down on the ones from tonight and post only a few from tomorrow.

No green pants. The lighting was crazy tonight. All those pics started around 930 pm until about midnight. The sky and clouds were playing crazy games with the water and I think just the way the lens was set and that orange ass light made our jeans look weird as hell. They are normal blue colored jeans. I'm using a Nikon D50 with the stock lens and a tripod. I have another lens but I would have been able to take the same pics from across town with that one.

the effect of the water glowing might have been the lighting, but im sure it was the glow from bio luminescent plankton rubbing in the waves.

thanks for all thw compliments. Hopefully I will be sitting on some coils come next summer. I have a feeling we might get a rough winter up here. Joeski and have talked about springs for the s4 so its on his list of things too. I didnt even consider the plankton and Ive lived by the shore my whole life. Even in college I made sure I was close to the water. lol. Im sure its happened plenty of times but ive never seen it to that extent. You could look about 4 blocks in either direction and see the green glow.

pics look okay, looks like you could use a tripod and the white balance is off on some. as for your car you need that lower center usp grille. nice job tho .

there was only street lights behind me in the pics at the beach. the pics of my car parked at the boardwalk was the only lighting in that location. the darker pic of the water was w the camera set on auto slow w flash. the bright ones are w auto turned off and the shutter would stay open forever. i was using a tripod in most of the photos but some of the blurry ones were taken without using the timer. pushing the button would shake the camera just enough to blur the photos. i wasnt sure if white balancing the camera would have helped on those photos. they were taken near a spotlight that had a sulphur bulb which casts that nasty orange hue. I bought the camera used without a user manual so i am blindly learning the functions. this my first dslr and basically my first shot at photography. as for the friend named joeski, its a nickname and his screenname on here. As for the usp lower center, I think i have one lined up. I also need a b6 s4 lower grille if anyone knows of a used on in good condition. The car is a slow work in progress and has a long way to go. im typing from my piece of shit phone so fogibe me for the gramatical an spelling errors.

Not to be a downer, but check out some photo threads and get some good ideas for cool angles. I know everyone doesn't have the 'eye' but these aren't appealing.

Yeah, other than wiping the license plates clear. I didn't do any editing at all. The water was just straight up crazy. I'm sure if I photoshopped a little I could clean these up a lot, but that's cheating isn't it. I'm by no means a professional photographer. I went to an art school with a lot of photographers and I give them all the credit in the world. I just like playing with the camera and I have just started playing with it. It's the first digital cam I've owned and/or messed with. I just got a sick deal on a dslr and figured hell, if I'm gonna start, might as well go with the dslr and learn the right way. Now I just have to get the damn manual to figure out the settings on the camera and go out and play with my composition and framing... I know I have a lot of pratice to figure it all out but I basically just wanted to whore the cars out a bit. If not for myself, for my friend since he's so excited he found the s4 in the condition and price he did.

There are a few unpainted usp's out there. I just wanted to be a little different and go unpainted for a while. I'll be spraying them eventually to match the body but that's not for a while when I finally shell out the dough for the s4 rear. Doorblades, Coilovers, front usp and s4 grilles and wheels are all on the list before the rear bumper. Kinda want to do some engine work also before painting. That s4 is quick before mods. Kinda makes me feel like I'm standing still. I'm used to lightly modded 13 second cars and my friend's more heavily modded 12-11 second cars so my intaked a4 is a dog in comparison to my past set of cars.
