    Question about DRC issue

I just bought an 07 RS4 and put the car on the lift yesterday and noticed oil around my front passenger side strut....is this a sign of the well known DRC failure? Also is this still covered under warranty? Someone had told me that its only covered 12k miles/1 year. Is this true??

    Re: Question about DRC issue

There were couple of threads recently. I know RAudi Driver had that issue and there was someone else very recently. Might even be on the first page still.

    Re: Question about DRC issue

Oil leaking on the front strut is the DRC issue.

A group of RS4 owners here in the UK have successfully lobbied Audi UK regarding this issue, and we have received letters extending the warranty on DRC components from the standard (3 years) to 5 years/75,000 miles.

Best check the warranty position there in US, and start lobbying AoA...

    Re: Question about DRC issue

I know Ed (Raudi Driver) got his replaced under warranty....... I'm currently dealing with AudiNA because my dealer doesn't have the DRC tool, which cost $2k.....

I don't know if you have done any research on the topic, but when replacing a front shock, the central valve, which is located towards the rear must also be replaced..... Dealers like to be stingy on the central valve and as soon as that car is off the lift, the new shocks are damaged.....

    Re: Question about DRC issue

Man, after the RS6, I would of thought Audi would have made it more reliable..... Merc and BMW also have the problems with their similar technology... Does anyone know if the C6 RS6 uses an improved DRC system or is it reletively the same? Sorry for the thread jack BTW.

    Re: Question about DRC issue

Yeah I've tried looking through posts but I'm trying to find out if it was covered 100% by the dealer. Did anybody in the New York area had this done?
