Re: I searched... Pics/gains on custom intake

For looks, slight improvement to throttle response, and a slightly better sound, an intake is worth it. If you're looking for power gains, it's not worth it, since you won't really get any.

Stratmosphere makes an intake. But as others have said, don't get it if your engine is stock and you are looking for HP gains because you won't see any.

There are plenty of things out there for 3.0.... exhaust, suspension, sway bars, bumpers, interior mods, CF hoods, etc.
    - 3.0 Quattro
    - Milltek Exhaust with 4" Tips
    - Hyperflow Intake
    - Caracter Front bumper
    - Eibach Pro Kit + Bilstein Sport Shocks and S4 Rear Sway
    - Sportec 18" wheels
    - Stoptech Slotted Rotors with Ceramic Pads
    - Level 10 VB & APR Snub Mount

these kind of comments are what scare me about the PES:

Try ECStuning.com.. and i would strongly reccomend that you get that checked out by PES, may be something besides coilpacks, I had a 3.0 motor blow up bc of their shit s/c.

Huh? Is this my comment in another thread? Totally out of context, misfires happen on all cars for various reasons. I wasn't talking about the s/c kit at all.

Ask the dude who wrote that comment:
How many miles did he have on with S/C before he went redline and which gear he went redline in.

It takes time for the internals and ECU to adapt from N/A to forced induction. We all warned him beforehand, take it easy the first couple hundred miles and break it in.

do you not have to do an ECU change from the stock? I'm sure you do right, otherwise o2 sensors would be jumping I'm sure. How long is the break in per. for the PES?
