    New(ish) B6 S4 owner, pics included....many mods coming!!!

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
    Hey everyone,

I've had my 2005 S4 for about 3 months now and have finally gotten around to getting some mods on it. I just added 10% tint last week and this week and next the following are all going on the car:

*VMR RS4 Reps (Gun Metal Grey)
*235/35/19 Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Positions
    *tinted tails
    *LED license plate lights
    *Gloss Black Emblems
    *Tinted Side Markers
    *APR Snub Mount

I am trying to finish up the exterior before I begin on many performance mods as what (and IF in some cases) to get is a much larger decision as I already kind of know what I want to do to the exterior of the S4.

What I have left to do to the exterior:
    *Matte Black body wrap roof
    *Boser hood/painted
    *top/bottom Kamei Grill
    *clear corners
    *maybe side skirts

Now to my MAJOR question regarding the exterior:

I do not know if I want to drop the money (or in some people's opinion "rice out") the front of the S4, although I do want it to be more aggressive and a unfortunately the blacked out front emblems just aren't enough. So give me your opinion....

a)Is simply adding top and bottom aftermarket grills (and maybe fog grills too) and then adding a CF splitter on the bottom enough to make it look a little more agressive? (does anyone have photos of this set up done?)

    or

b)Is it pretty necessary that I get a completely new front (Oetty, etc.) to achieve a more aggressive look?

I love the looks of the S4, but IMO the front bumper is where they failed the most on the exterior.....THANKS IN ADVANCE and any suggestions are MUCH WELCOMED!

Now for some photos a few days after I got it/without ANY MODS...

I'm probably gonna get flamed for this photo, but whatever....haha

Thanks man, I am in Hermosa Beach, but prob moving to Santa Monica early spring since I spend most of my time there anyways....Plate is already off, prob getting a EURO plate. Also if you read the post I am actually going to matte black body wrap the roof for resale reasons. A friend of mine did it to his S65 and you cant tell it's wrap, not paint.

Ah, I go to school at SMC and saw a white B6 S4 the other day...a pic of my car is in my profile.
The roof sheet is all good, when done right at least.

awesome....I'm going to try and start making it to some SoCal Audi Events....as far as the roof is concerned, I am having Platinum Motors here in LA do it, they do a lot of high end/high profile/celeb cars and really know what they are doing, so we should be cool...I'll keep everyone posted

Sticker City in Encino does it aswell, (probably where PMS will get it from), think $300 for install/sheet.

cool, if PMS prices me out more (which they shouldn't b/c my buddy has a lot of work done through them so they are kinda just hooking me up) I'll have to take a look at Sticker City...thanks!

p.s. I still need an answer to my front end question!!!

Those are some white a## kicks you have. Nice car as well.

Your question is kinda hard to answer due to the fact that it is more opinion based. I would go with B tho if you were really looking to make a statement. Keep us posted would love to see how it turns out

buegie and mark...lol good work! only thing is I'm not rockin any bling....

just incredible, thanks for the opinion. I think I'm going to put a splitter on it for now and see how that looks and eventually get a new front end for it. I can always put the splitter on the new front end if I get one...

I think once the Boser Hood is on there you will be happy with the front end. The only mods I have done to the front end exterior is the Boser Hood and E-Code Housings for the lights. I was going to continue modding but got crazy with modding my Bike!

Right now my B6 Brilliant Black S4 stays home unless I have to transport more than 2 people. You car looks good!

    Mods I have completed:

    AWE Full Exhaust
    Bilstien Coilovers
    Front and Rear Sways
    RNSe Navigation
    Boser Hood
    E-Code HeadLights
    Tinted Tails
VMR 708 RS4 Reps (Onyx Black)
    limo Tint Rear/Dark Tint Front

Get rid of the fog in the headlights. Very easy to take out b6 headlights.. and then bake them at a low temperature.

I had just washed the car right before the photos were taken, so there was condensation from that. Now I just keep the headlights on after washing for a bit and it dries right up....

DBLAAsS4 - thanks for the tip...any photos of the car with just boser hood? I want to see what that looks like. I might have to choose either that or front end...

This is what you want, see the pic in the sig, it "fixes" the bumper problem perfectly. I usually don't like LLTek stuff, but I like this splitter...

    http://forums.audiworld.com/s4b6/msgs/423610.phtml

If I were you I'd do exactly what Corrado79 did - splitter, blackout grills, ecodes if you can find them. This is the perfect front on a white car, imo.

UberDave you are now my favorite person on AudiZine!! That is EXACTLY the compromise I was looking for....I'm going to get that front spoiler w/CF splitter...perfect! As far as e-codes, that is further down the line as for $800 I feel I can use my money many other places. I'm also going to blackout the grills and already have the rings in the process of being blacked out....the question is should I go with blacked out stock grills and save $300 or should I get upper and lower grills (I'm thinking Kamei)???

You are right about the rarity of the arctic white...some manufacturers don't even offer the color anymore for some reason. That's why I am trying to be methodical and thorough with what I choose to do. Thanks everyone for your help and suggestions....hopefully this will all turn out great!

It's your car and your decision, but I personally like the "OEM+" look so I would do it exactly like the picture shown. It looks mean yet not over the top... I personally don't like the Kamei stuff, I prefer the OEM black-out grills, but that's your call. I don't think you can get a Kamei grill with the rings, so you would have to put them on yourself (unless you want to go without) which I doubt will look very good. I'd leave the rings chrome in the front so they stand out from the grill a bit, black out teh roof, and black out teh rings in the back. I think that would look great with your gunmetal rims.

    dag,
i wanted white so bad. dolphin grey was my second choice. couldn't find any white s4s around...at least manual ones with low low mileage.

props on the ride and keep us posted. not a big fan of boser hoods...i prefer the stock hood in c/f but to each their own. it will look nice with a flat black roof!
