    20" Sportec Forged

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Just got em put on today. Shod with 255/30 r20 Pilot Sport AS. Tire width kinda worries me... Stock ride height they fit fine. Lowered... I'll have to wait and see! :) Will post more pics in a week or so when I get a little suspension work. Wanted to do the suspension first but the deal came up and I didn't want to miss out on these rare beauties. Just a quick iPhone shot. Whatcha think?

those are 20's? I thought they'd look huge on our cars... They kind of look almost the same as 19's to me... maybe i'm crazy. I've always liked those rims though. looks good. 255 is huge also... i'm jealous

Looks good. What ET are your wheels? Depending on that you may or may not have issues once you lower it. I had problems with 245's though.

I was going to buy a set of those too but I ended up buying a set of SDS Invidias

I think a 255 tire is going to be too wide if you lower the car. My wheels are 20x8.5 ET32 with 245/30/20 and they rub a tiny bit over dips in the road.

20x9 and et35 is the offset . My buddy had them on his b7 avant with Bilsteins and he rubbed only at severe times. I think it will depend on how low I go. I also heard the b6 fenders are a little wider... Any truth? I'll let yall know! If worse comes to worse I'll go with 245's. Yeah I have to agree it doesn't look that bad at stock height. Awesome! Can't wait to see them. You still working latet? You going to make tonight's G2G? I just found out I've got a planning meeting for this weekends Cancer Walk (Light the Night Walk, Town Square). The meeting starts at at 6:30 and I'm hoping to get out at a reasonable hour. I really like Sportecs but have yet to seen them in a 20 on our cars.

saw these on eBay for an insane deal when you consider how much they go for brand new... thought about buying them, but then again, what would have i done w/ a second set of those???

    good choice nonetheless...

unfortunately i kind of agree w/ Winston, 255 is going to be tough once lowered... mine are 245 and i do have the occasional rub, i believe i'm btw 25.5" and 26" from the fender to the ground and i actually want to go back down to 25"... at the height i know i'll rub even more than now...

Super Hottness! I love those wheels. Always have! Post more pics of your ride, even if they are iphone pics. Love to see a side view of the 20's on the stock suspension. In your 1st pic the car dosen't look 4x4 at all, looks really good.Makes me wonder. I have always been a suspension before wheels person but hummmm..... Nice work on catching a sweet deal for those wheels. I hope I catch a sweet deal! 20's on our cars look sick!

Here are some more shots. I took overhead shots of both front and rear. Enjoy. Going To experiment with suspension height. If they end up too wide I'll toss the stockers on till I get thinner tires.

    Rear

I've got a lil bit of crap in my trunk but I measured fender to the ground and I got 27" Front and 26 3/8 rear. I know I'm going to get flamed and called names but... ;) For the time being since I just dropped a grip on these wheels... I'm gonna go with some H&R springs for now. They drop the front 1.2"and rear 1". Measuring the gap from fender to tire it looks like I'll be sitting just about perfect. We'll see. My friend who sold me the wheels is sitting 24 and 6/8ths up front and 25" in the rear and he said he only rubbed once in a while with them. I wouldnt be sitting quite as low as him so maybe I'll be ok. Update soon.

Rear set looks great. I think the fronts are a little wide - might want to drop down to 245 in the fronts and keep the 255 as spares.

I think you should just wait to get coils. The car looks good the way it is, for now. I'm a firm believer in the whole "get it right the first time". Springs may or may not look the way you would expect and if you don't like them then you just lost out on some $$$.
I say just hold out for coils. Thats just my .02

I have the H&R's with (2) of the same ET wheels as you. I just got new tires and wanted to try 245/35's, Big mistake. The stupid tire shop didn't put the ET35 wheels in back as I requested so I ended up rubbing a little up front. When I got home I switched them to the back where they belong and the rubbing stopped. However with your wheels at ET 35 and those springs you're going to be rubbing like a mother.

On a side note, I switched back to 235/35 tires because the car handled like shit with the 245's due to the increased side wall dimension. Car handles perfect again.

Get coilovers, don't mess around with springs. If you don't have the dough, wait until you do. I waited for coilovers and am glad I did. I'm loving my 235 /19's at the moment. On my B6 they fit nicely up into the fenderwheel without rubbing. Everyone looks at the tires on the cars and bends over and says "wow, how did you get those to fit in there?"...

20 x 9 and a +35. Woe, you're gonna rub no matter what tire you use. You can't run 9" with anything less than a +40. you're gonna have to stretch a 215 on there or mod your fenders. good Luck!

Personally, I think they look way too big. The car looks like a Matchbox toy. Not to mention how much weight you add w/ heavy-ass Sportecs and 255s.

If I rub I rub. Lesson learned. I'll put the stockers back on and figure out a game plan from there. I'm sure there are some people that would jump on these if I can't make em work. These originally were on an rs6 and they looked insane. If some genuine 19" LMs were offered for trade I might be inclined to do so... :) Like I said my friend ran them on his avant for a minute and he only slightly rubbed and his car is lower than mine is going to be. Only time will tell.

As for CoilOvers everyone... Like I said I dont mind dropping 200 bucks for a lil short term pleasure. I will end up doing CO's when the I feel like dropping the cash. End of story... Believe me I know they are better!

I think these look good but thanks for your opinion. You are entitled to it. BTW I have a great deal on my "lightweight" 50lb avus wheel/tire combo

Thanks for all the feedback guys.

Entertaining some trade offers... Think these are going to be too big for what I want to do with my car. Shoot me some high end (Please be realistic) wheel trade offers in 19" if interested or I'll sell them outright for $2400 preferably not shipped... Let me know!
