Im having problems figuring out what to buy 1st for my car. what do you all think i should get first?? Revo chip, vogtlant coilovers, awe exhaust or some DTM 19" wheels????

assuming you did buy the 2.ot, your car will be slow until you get the chip. a chip and then coils or a swaybar will transform your ride.

have to agree w/ winston on that one. the most upgradeable part of the car is what sits between the seat and the wheel. but the ecu reflash is a great upgrade. about the easiest 60 hp you'll ever get. also a good suspension system will absolutely transform the car. there's actually a company at infineon raceway, in sonoma, ca that does nothing but spend their days optimizing suspension, brake, exhaust, etc systems for audis. what were they called again.. ;-)

whatever you get, make wheels one of the last things you get. if you get wheels first, AT LEAST get springs or coilovers. i recommend coilovers though

yes im not in a rush to get wheels, i have the titanium package and i like my wheels for now. buttt the car is way to high for my tastes and springs still sit too high. most likely im going to get the 5 hour trial for the revo and see if i rather spend the 500+ on the chip now or save it towards a set of coilovers.

An educated driver in a slower, better handling car will be faster than an uneducated driver in a fast car.

I found that out very quickly on my first HPDE. My car was too stiff for the conditions and I had no idea how to drive even thought we all think we do.

Very humbling experience.

Get the trial and see what a chip can do but I guarantee you'll have more fun with a set of coilovers and H-Sport swaybars.

thanks for the input...i realized what u stated above today, some young kid in a modded evo viii came up next to me and he took off real quick from me but after about a 1/4 mile he was a good bit behind me and im fully stock now. i think my evo III got my driving skills pretty good IMO

You beat the Evo VIII?? If it was modded he would have over 300hp. The stock evo 8 does 0-60 in 6.1sec..........

i just was going to rephrase what i said...it was also after a couple curves. he downshifted way to early before the curves and i just powered through the apex and i was gone... again he obv. wasnt aware of what he was doing

i say chip first, then coilovers. when you feel the boost after you chip it you wont ever want to drive it stock again, i am still working on getting my coilovers and wheels, but thats the order im going, exhaust im not to worried about right now...but def. get chipped first!

chip and DV since they tear pretty quick with the boost increase,rs4 rear sway,coilovers, then rims....

If you have the s-line/Titanium package, then you're sport suspension is already pretty tight. Do the rs4 rear sway first to eliminate most of the body roll and see what you think. It was a night and day difference for me.


Always suspension upgrades before power upgrades though.

I'm getting 19 psi with APR vs 11 psi stock. I imagine REVO is something similar.

Coils is always my 1st mod. Always has been, always will be.
Don't forget to corner balance them and get alignment once you get the right height for your driving.
