Re: found a nice and small catch can today

Here how I think i shall run the system. 1 line off each valve cover to a Tee from the Tee to a single line to the 1 side of the can, the other side i will run to the valley pan. Cap off the intake mani open port and the Y pipe port. The can will have a breather on top no pcv valve in the system.

Has anyone ever ran there setup like this or close to this?

    Hi jdm.
The OCC GB is actually canceled.

Re: found a nice and small catch can today

I've been thinking of doing the same, my idea is joining the 2 valve covers and the middle crank case into one, then into the can, then to the y-pipe utilizing the factory pressure valve.

for the brakes, I was thinking of running a vacuum line from the intake manifold to the brake booster with the stock green check valve in the middle, nothing fancy.

the downside is (unless you incorporate the stock pieces) you will lose vacuum from the intake manifold to the crankcase during idle, but you may gain better brake booster performance as it will most likely shorten the time needed for the brake booster to build vacuum again. hopefully you won't smoke like crazy in stop and go traffic.

I would not plumb anything back into the y pipe especially if you run it the way im running it or the way you described which is basically the same thing...
