    retro solutions 6000k 55w video

i installed a retro solutions 6000k 55watt kit in my halogen housings a few months ago and have waiting until now to post anything. over this time span, i have not been flashed ONCE. i have received countless compliments from friends on how well they light up the road. these are almost pure white with a tint of blue when running.
i took a video at beam level to show how these warm up to a white color and not some ricer blue like some people think 6000k is. yes, it looks like glare in the video, but that is a combo of the shitty camera and the fact that i placed the camera right below the cut off

Re: retro solutions 6000k 55w video

In the few months since I put in my RS6 kit, I've only been flashed twice. Our housings are one of the few that don't look like crap when you install a kit. But when a set of decent priced e-codes come up for sale, they are mine!

Looks great btw, I love when mine starts up! It floods blue everywhere and then changes to a nice crisp white!

This is where other drivers in oncoming traffic remove their shirts and expose their chests (females and males).

JJ, its when they flash their brights at you.

How long have you been running those? some people say it will cause damage to the housing, any evidence of this?

I think since late August- no problems at all. Also they are 100% plug and play and the new generation slim balasts.

That's meaningless, I'm driving around with my OEM 4300K HIDs aligned with the cutoff above oncoming driver's eyes, just to see how they react, and no one has ever flashed me, and no cop has stopped me... That doesn't mean I'm not blinding the shit out of them.

Re: retro solutions 6000k 55w video

got the kit from retro-solutions, heres the audiworld group buy page which gives a nice discount http://www.retro-solutions.com/audiworldGB.html

there are no signs of damage to the housing, the hids run cooler than halogens. best part of the kit is the fact that they have a lifetime warranty against anything that should go wrong!

i will take a video at night from inside the car to better how they look

the ddm kit has the same output as a tsx. the problem is the halogen projector cant direct the light nearly as well as the xenon projector the tsx has. on top of that, the tsx is considered one of the best in the auto industry so u were spoiled lol

so you bought the slim ballasts? did you buy the warning code eliminator or was that not necessary? i know that when some people buy the hid kits they have to modify the housing a little. So was it a direct plug and play where no drilling or modifications had to be made?

I have the 55 watt kit from ddm, you have to drill a hole 1 inch in diameter on the headlight housing access door. that's it
