I talked to my uncle who is an Automotive Electrical Engineer and he said he can make the S4 passenger power seat have power even though my stock one is manual. From what i found the Stock Passenger seat has an airbag sensor but i can remove the bladder from my stock seat and make it work. I know its a little involved just wondering if anyone has actually done this.

    Eh?

Re: What Exactly is needed to put B6 S4 Recaros in a B7 A4?

It should be plug and play as those who attempted to put B6 S4 Recaros in their B6's pointed out. The only problem you will very likely encounter is that the power wire is missing. Perhaps this thread will help you.

I'd worry about the airbag issue. BTW, where are you getting your S4 Recaros from?

are you sure you want to do this? those seats aren't any lighter and our cars are pretty damn heavy. there's probably cheaper, lighter, and easier to mount solutions out there.. but if you're up for it, anythings possible.

Re: What Exactly is needed to put B6 S4 Recaros in a B7 A4?

You need B7S4 Recaros for a plug and play solution.

The B6S4 seats are missing the bladder in the seat which will then activate the airbag light on your dash and deactivate you airbags. You might be able to rig something up with your existing airbag sensor/bladder to fake out the system but the SRS system is one I wouldn't want to mess around with too much.

Making power seats work in a non-powered seat car is simple. IIRC, all of the cars are prewired for power seats and the harnesses exist underneath your seat. You just have to plug in 2 30A blade fuses in the sockets hidden behind the footwells to power them up.

Check out Avanteix Fotki for pictures of where these fuses are located.

There are cheaper and lighter options but I doubt you'll find any seats as comfortable, supportive, adjustable and HEATED for an Audi.

There is a reason why so many people want them and they are worth every penny.

    Yes.

And I get offers on my seats everytime an A4 owner sits in them.

They are the best mod in my car since I love to drive so much.

Re: What Exactly is needed to put B6 S4 Recaros in a B7 A4?

sorry for hi-jacking... but what about B7 RS4 seats? not the bucket ones.. Are they as simple as B7S4 seats to fit? Just plug-n'-play?

    cheers
