I have been looking for the SMIC kit from the DIY section. I stumbled across it today.

    http://www.mjmautohaus.com/catalog/i...6187_6190_6729

For those looking for the sleeper look you need this. And the DIY seems really easy. I jsut hope they stay stocked up till I have the money for it.

Re: Found the stealth SMIC kit.

Your link only goes to their main page.

Did you mean the DMIC setup using a euro SMIC for the other side? At $925 thats pretty much a steep price for stealth.

Just expect some pressure drop by adding a 2nd SMIC.

Re: Found the stealth SMIC kit.

Yeah pretty expensive. But only a few hundred more than a really nice FMIC setup. And a hundred less than APR's FMIC.

About the same price as a anodized black ER sport and $300 less then a black ER Comp.

hey OP - where are you in NC?

and DSMIC is more or less a waste of money... a FMIC will out perform it in almost every way, and if you ever plan on/end up doing more than a stage 1+ or k04 you'll thank yourself for getting a FMIC instead of a DSMIC setup

Im in Raleigh. Could I fit a NICE FMIC kit under the OEM bumper with simple modifications? I am trying to keep this mostly "stock looking".

Is there a big Audi scene here in NC. I used to be big into the Kia scene before I bought my A4 so I would really like to meet some people, and get to know who is here to help me or who may need help.

The ER sport and Competition kits fit behind the B6 bumpers with very little cutting, need to cut the rebar for the COMP kit.

Haha, I was just going to say the same thing. Back on topic, I had made a thread about the SMIC in the B6 A4 section...but came to realize for the money, it wasn't worth it. Check out the Racetec FMIC, fits behind the OEM bumper & go for about $850. I'm 99% sure there is even a DIY on install at www.a4mods.com Hope this is alittle food for thought.

x2... your IAT drop wont be near as good with a DSMIC or upgraded SMIC

and there is no reason you cant fit the er sport/comp or racetec under a stock bumper... i have the racetec and it fit perfectly

Re: Found the stealth SMIC kit.

Im serious don't be talking smack about the Kia's. So there is a way to do it. Is there a huge benefit from opening the front grill up with a body kit. The OEM bumper is really sealed off and doesnt seem to promote sufficient airflow. I also don't want to block the radiator. Any good links to the racetec or er sport/comp setups?

Even with a thick FMIC the 1.8t is not known to over heat. This is a problem only seen on the S4's with a FMIC in very hot conditions.

Isn't that just the FMIC(core) without pipes, hoses and clamps?
