podi update! Everyone who has a beeping issue with a stepper motor gauge please read!

If your stepper motor gauges beeps on shutdown and you please check how you have it wired up.

The instruction sheet included and the writeup on www.a4mods.com ask you to connect the yellow wire to the battery and the red wire to ignition.

Please try wiring the red and yellow wires together to the ignition instead and see if this gets rid of the beeping.

This will cut power to the gauge immediately when you turn the car off rather than have it still pull power from the battery at shutdown.

Nothing wrong with leaving it as-is, some people just find the beeping annoying.

This is not a serious issue. Some people do not like the few beeps the gauge emits at powerdown so I have been working with the manufacturer to find a solution to it. Rewiring the gauge will not change how it the gauge works at all.

The only gauges that would have an audible buzz would be a mechanical unit which this fix is not intended for.

^^^its your mechanical stewart warner gauge...wanted to know if you had a fix for this?

The buzzing/rattling is caused by pulsations in the airstream and they need to be filtered out to stop it from happening.

The inline restrictors I have made are used to get rid of the buzz in Stewart Warner and most other mechanical gauges that have this problem.

If both of the restrictors are in place, 18-24" from the back of the gauge and the second 18-24" from the t-fitting on the intake manifold, please email me and I'll try to help you solve the problem.
