Does anyone have the part number for the Symphony II+? I am interested geting one because the Symphony II+ plays MP3 CD whereas the Symphony II does not. I called the dealer to see what the cost would be for the Symphony II+ and he could not find it. MY Scion played MP3 CD's and it's driving me crazy that my Audi does not.

Thanks Yettavr6. If it's easy for you to get the part number I would be greatful, but don't go through too much trouble.

I read on another site that the older OEM radios were being discontinued and the dealers were selling them for under $100. I don't know how true this is, that's why I was checking the price w/the dealer. I would be interested in buying it if the price is right.

Re: Audi Symphony II+ Part Number

It's easy enough to get out when you have the removal keys

Heres the part numbers on mine:

    BP-Nr. 7 647 034 380 (I think this is "Blaupunkt Part Number")
AU-Nr. 8E0 035 195 AF (think this is Audi Part Number)

It is true. I saw the PDF file with all of the pricing and everything was going for about 80% off

If you need a brand new II+ let me know as I have one for sale

Re: Audi Symphony II+ Part Number

This may be a dumb question however, will the Audi Symphony II+ fit in an 2006 Audi A4? The only reason that I ask is the parts guy at Audi said even if I found the Audi Symphony II+ it may not fit in my car.

    Winston - I sent you a PM.

Re: Audi Symphony II+ Part Number

The parts guy is an idiot then as the II+ will fit 100% if you already have a Symphony II

He may have meant because the harness is different, but there are adapter harnesses available. It will definately fit though.

x2, doubt it but worth it to ask.

OP: The harness and antenna connector will run you about another $100 but I have an 06 with it, simple plug and play. It was worth every penny at $300+ I paid, it's definitely worth it if it's only $100.

Re: Audi Symphony II+ Part Number

The items that were on sale were previous generation equipment.

Nothing newer than a Symphony II was listed for an Audi.

If the RNS-E was included they would have been sold out a long time ago.

I just spoke with the Parts department at Audi. The part number for USA is
AU-Nr. 8E0 035 195 AX and the radio sells for $195. I have to pass on this since I'm currently not working :-(

I called Pacific Audi in Torrance, CA but I'm sure you can call your local Audi. These are being discontinued so if you want one I'd do it sooner rather than later.

If you can get a new one for $195 I'd think a used one should sell for something around $100.

Re: Audi Symphony II+ Part Number

Can anyone confirm that is actually sells for $200 brand new? And Is this only specific to certain Audi Dealers? I would be interesting in purchasing one as well, as I have an 06 and would like the ability to play MP3's.

I am gonna guess that is for a SymII, not a II+ but you never know. Also, look at what Winston said:

But it could be possible, these were only used from 2007 on and now the B8s have a completely different dash

Re: Audi Symphony II+ Part Number

I actually just called my local dealer and spoke to a guy from parts dept. I asked him if I could get a price on the Symphony head unit and he said he most likly wont fit anyway. I Ignored him and continued and I said I have a part number here. So I gave him AU-Nr. 8E0 035 195 AX and he said that it would cost $207.07. However I have to give back the same type of headunit to get it at that price, and if I didn't have one it would cost $750.00 extra. I didn't mention anything about a sale to him. Not sure if he was giving me the run around or what....

I spoke with my local Audi dealer and they said that yes, it is 200$ but anything with an AX on the end of it is a Re-Manufactured piece

anyone has a part number for the harness that is needed to convert?

also Can it be configured for an XM radio?

the harness isn't an Audi part, you have to get it from vagparts or nsxjr. You also need an antenna adapter.

I would charge more than $200, yours isn't remanufactured and these things regularly pull $300 without harnesses and adapters

One just sold on e-bay for $218 plus $35 shipping. It probably would have sold for more but they had it listed as Symphony 2+ when it should have been listed as Symphony II+.
