Do you know how to weld.. do you have a sawzall..

If not, just take it to a local exhaust shop and tell them to slap it on. 40 bucks and you'll be out the door.

The only thing I dont have is a tube bender. Full mechanic shop with 6 techs and we specialize in Euro's. It's just that everyone else is too busy or going home lol. I did stop by a exhaust shop and over the phone they said 40-50 bux then when I got there they changed it to 60-70... I decided I didn't like them.

Ya I'd spend more in gas then having it done by the one place. I don't trust them to do it right though.

Just take it to a muffler shop and have them install it.

To be honest I swap out mufflers all the time, I used to do it to my friends truck once every year for about 4 years (just for smog). I've done it on the Audi about 3 times.

Sawzall a welder and some good ramps or a lift and you'll be done in about 45 minutes, Lots of measuring involved though. and to get it fully welded unhook the exhaust on the back and let it hang down so you can weld around it (do this after you have tacked it in place).

Well how would you reccomend accomidating the sharp bends that are required to fit the straight inlet instead of the side inlet? I am all for cutting and welding myself! Hell I'll go mach it up right now and get my dad to weld it in the morning lol.

    Re: Pictures of Magnaflow install

I didnt realize there was a different inlet/outlet location. Thats why your costing is so high.

Did you just replace one muffler or both?

If you replace the inner resonator you will be louder but still mellow.

Sounds good, did you just replace the muffler? Nothing else? Didn't get an aftermarket resonator?

100% stock piping up to the muffler. Actually the muffler shop guy tried to tell me it wasn't gonna be better w/o removing the resenator...

Not at all its perfect with stock piping and the Magnaflow muffler. Cruising there is no drone at all but accelerating it has a very deep amazing growl.

You might have drone. Run it and see if its too loud. I removed my first muffler in my borla 2.25 exhaust when I ran my K03 with the stock cat. That was perfect for me.

Now Im at test pipe with APR stage 3 and I welded the first borla muffler back in.

I ordered mine off Summit just cuz I thought it would take longer through ebay turned out that Summit was 2 weeks back order... Here's some pics of mine installed:

It is a little bit too far to the left but I am still very happy over all and think the tips look great and the Magnaflow letters just barely stick out passed the bumper to be readable.

It was just barely smaller then the Magnaflow so I would guess like 2". IDK what it is before the resonator.

factory claims 1.97" Inner Diameter. Personally, I measured ~2.0625-2.125 OD depending on location and year.
