Anyways, i just noticed that its about time to redo the headliner, and was thinking about doing alcantra or suede. Possibly burberry? lol Im just looking for option right now...

I used just a standard black suede from Joann Fabrics. I did all my pillars, but have not got around to doing the headliner yet. It looks great, but it's not very stretchy. What a pain in the ass on the B and C pillars! I would trying something like this, I think it's got more stretch to it. I got a sample from them.

my dash is brown....so the black looked like ass IMO. i wanted to do micro-suede...but nothing matched that well. the plaid matched really good, so i went gangsta with it.

how did you guys with the suede headliners get them to be perfect? or are you just not showing wrinkle or bubble spots in the pictures? It is so tedious to get it to be 100% legit.

I tried and gave up and ended up going with black s4 headliner with all matching black accessories and adding homelink...on what was all tan to match tan seats on an otherwise black interior.

i had a bentley and it didnt help to much. then again it was hot and i just wanted to get the stuff out quick. so i didnt flip through it to much.

its pretty easy though. the hard part is putting the fabric on the headliner.

Today I noticed my headliner has a bubble forming in the back. I guess I will try and tackle this pretty soon as well. How hard would you guys rate this DIY? I'm pretty handy with tools, but i have zero experience with upholstery.

thats cleeaaan, i like it, but i want it to be black on my car. How much would u have to pay someone to do a job like this? Or how hard is it to do it yourself?

Its not hard to do yourself if you don't mind taking things apart. Make sure to hot glue the back side edges. Also use the loctight spray adhesive. I have had the best luck wht that stuff.

edit: Dont go overboard on the spray adhesive or it will bleed through. Spray several thin coats letting it cure between coats. Also spray both the back of the fabric, and the headliner. Good Luck

Did mine recently.

Redoing it in cheetah or some gnarly paisley print. Its really strait forward. Lean your seats down, and pull the liner out of the front passenger door, don't scuff your dash board though...its annoying to look at...

Edit: I know its on noticeably crooked, I did it on purpose.
