You can bring it to my house and I can to the TB for you. I've done work for other members on here and they can vouch for me.

yea i'm really weary of shops now in general after my snow filter turned up missing. i cleaned it last year, and between now and then i've taken the car to theshop and palisades audi. i'm not sure which place took it.

    Re: theshop in ct

I'm in Stamford and I'd drive to the shop in bport to get any work done on my car, that wouldn't be covered under warranty by dealer. Some things may seem shady and thats what I thought at first. But Jimmy is a good guy, reliable and very fair. From what I have seen with the work he has done on my bestfriend's LGT and to all the other work he and his guys do. I will be taking my car there in time, after going up there seeing the guys and talking to Jimmy. Any questions I had about where to take my car were gone after my visit. And, personally, I would never take my car to ICS.
Like I said, I'd drive my car to The Shop any day, even if I have to sit in that I95 traffic which I hate.

    Re: theshop in ct

I've been to The Shop when they were in Norwalk. They treated me well. I didn't get much done, but they were fair and quick.

I get most of my work done at Audi of Fairfield -- they have been good to me working with my warranty.

For timing belt, I would reccommend SSP in Long Island. Run buy a guy in the S4 forums ... He is by FAR the cheapest around and by FAR the best, IMO.

the shop... is no longer in norwalk.

I would have a tech do it on the side best way to save cash.

    Re: theshop in ct

I had my suspension done at the shop when it was in norwalk and what was suposed to take 1 day took them 2 weeks. They kept contradicting everything they said. First they couldnt get something apart so they were telling my i needed to buy all new control arms. so i told them to try and get it apart and then after a couple days they said they were able to do it. they set my coilovers on the car (not at the height i requested). When i came to pick it up they told me to ride it out for 2 weeks to let it settle then they would re adjust it free. i brought the car back to have it re adjusted and they tried to charge me for it. i then get a phone call telling me the rear was not adjustable ..... I knew for a fact that my coil overs were adjustable. I told them they would have to take them off to adjust them. He told me they couldn't still so i told them to have another look. he then calls me and tells me it would take 5 hours and they were goign to charge me for the time. so i argued with them once again that it would not take long and they should honor their origional price to set it where i wanted it. i came back the next day and it was set right. It seemed every day that i went there, there was something else they "couldn't" do until i complained about it.

I also had my magnaflow 14851 mufflers installed at the same time. I had seem them installed perfectly on several other cars so i took them in and they kept telling me they would never fit. then they installed them and left them sticking out about 4 inches. I told them i knew they fit properly but they would probly have to modify the existing piping. they told me know and once again i argued until they told me they would see what they could do. came back the next day and it was right how i wanted it....

I'm a pretty nice guy and i generally don't complain as long as something is done right but that was the worst experience i have ever had. maybe i was super unlucky but i won't be taking my car back to them again. they didn't seem to care about anything.
