Feels so good to be back...

Well, I'm on my third S4, 2nd B5 and I'm so glad to be back. Picked up an '01 bone stock Tip Avant with only 66K miles. I got it yesterday and I'm dying to get started with the mods. Suspension will come first; I had good success with a Neuspeed/Bilstein combo on my sedan. Not out to re-invent the wheel so I will gladly take suggestions if there are better combos... No plans to track the car, just some spirited driving so I'm not really interested in spending coilover money. I really like how ADR M-Sports look on the Avant so that is probably going to be my wheel choice. It is Santorin Blue with white interior and I'm going to try to load some pics tomorrow. Just wanted to re-introduce myself...

Well, I finally got around to lightening the wallet a bit today...

    1.) VMR 18x8.5 708s in HS
    2.) Goodyear Eagle F1 A/S - America's Tire matched TireRack's installed price
3.) Bilstein Sport Shocks - TireRack (factoring no sales tax made them cheapest)
    4.) Eibach Pro-Kit Springs - eBay

Should have Springs and Shocks by mid-week and will install next Saturday the 17th, should have wheels by the 20th... just in time for the Berkeley NorCal meet Jan 24th.

because 6-sp avants are impossible to find in the mileage/condition/color I was after... believe me, i looked for about 6 mos. plus i spend about 6500 minutes a month on my cell for work and have to jot notes, messages, etc., and while this is not my daily, when i do take it, i just can't be foolin' with having to shift.

My M5 (sold) fed my need for heel/toe.
