Hey guys well im not sure if you guys remember me but i was pretty active around here about a year ago. I had a 1.8t b5 with all the bolt ons. Came across a b5 s4 for a good price and sold the 1.8t. Eventually the turbos blew on the s4 so i sold it on here. Since then i had an 03 mustang gt then an 03 e320, then a 04 525 that im still trying to get rid of because im tired of making car payments and now i just picked up a 99.5 1.8t A4. The previous owner did the timing belt and water pump along with a couple other things at about 80k. It got 102 now. The car has a center vent boost gauge, painted lowers, bilstein shocks and tein springs just like my other a4, jensen indash, clear corner mod, evo sport intake, and he had the ko3 rebuilt to k04 spec. Now supposedly it has a speedtuning chip. The car pulls super hard when it spools up only at about 15 psi but after a few seconds the boost dies back to like 7-9 psi and feels weak again. At those measly 15psi the car feels much faster than my previous full bolt on ko3 a4. Could the problem be the chip? He said the car did that ever since he bought the chip but never fixed it because he couldnt sacrifice not having a car when he sent in the ecu to speedtuning. Any insight on what the problem could be? what other software can i run so i can bump it up to 20psi. Eventually full exhaust, FMIC will get done but for now i need to fix the problem. I know my threads worthless without pics and super long but w.e. Pics will be up tomorow.

    Re: Immm backkkk!

boost issue sounds like a boost leak....possibly a bad DV...it may not be holding the psi....

could also be the N75/wastegate.....start by looking at the DV....

besides that, GIAC offers a K04 tune for your car...you will need exhaust for the standars tune....plus a different fpr....

there is also an agressive tune from GIAC for your car...I'm pretty sure the tune for your car is PC-16....which means you will also need a FMIC and injectors....

looking forward to seeing pics!...welcome back to the family!
