Whistle???

WTF!!!! It seems like everytime I get ready to spend some money to mod my car I have to spend money to keep the car running!!! I drove my car about 200 miles today and after about 50 miles my car started whistling and everytime I would slow down then try to speed up it would lug sort of like a misfire. I put an AWE diverter valve in thinking that it was part of the lug....but anyway I pulled over and opened the hood and it sounded like it was coming from the TB area, not really sure though.
Any Ideas what the problem is????

I dont think its that.... I heard it could have something to do with engine sludge. I got a low oil light too even though my car was serviced 3 weeks ago!!!

not having much luck with this car yet huh? Perhaps it's time to bring it to a dealer and bend over? Just have them look it over and tell you "whats wrong with it" and post back up here before going through with any work

Did you put on the DV backwards?

or

Take the DV off the car and Push the valve with ur finger and hold ur thumb on the other end and see if it keeps pressure. If its the spring kind then nevermind, but if its the diafragm one then you can test it like that. If it does not hold pressure then its messed up.

Moltov, have you ever heard of Nates Auto in Essex/Williston. He has 2001 s4 casawhite stage 3/4. I had him put in my DV, maybe i should bring it back and see if they can check it out.

If he has the audi rings tattooed on his forearm, then yeah I'd bring it back to have it checked out. Met that guy once for maybe a minute at an autobody shop. From my understanding he was doing his stage 3 install himself, so he'd know his shit.

So i found out where the whistle was coming from.........and it cost me 650.00!! My fuel pump was on its way out so i had lewis motors fix it. While they where working on it the said that they found that i needed a new cam shaft seal. FUCK!!!!

no lube, they just fucked me hard!! The also told me that the hot i could smell was from a leaky cam shaft seal so that will need to be replaced. I am definatly not doing it though lewis though.

samething just happened to me, Misfires when on idle at a light, then fine when I drive, It just started whistling from the back of the engine, so is the fuel pump? what else do I need to do or make sure the shop needs to do?

It was a plastic tube that broke, it sends air to one side of the engine, air pressure was leaking so cylinders misfired. cost me $275 parts + $150 labor for a piece of plastic tubing.
