What happens if you do a pressure test with this connected? It goes into the y pipe, im not exactly sure what it does but I remembered after the test that your supposed to disconnect it. When I drove my car after the test tons of white smoke came out for about 3 or 4 minutes then went away. I still have full boost and the car did not miss or run different but there was a lot of white smoke for a few minutes. The car seemed to loose a little power(could be my imagination) but i am still getting full boost. Did I do any damage. What could this be? Please help I am panicking right now.

Re: PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!I think I screwed my motor up.(PICS)

I figured out that it is the PCV valve (positive crankcase ventilation valve). But I still need help as to if i could have screwed anything up.

    Thanks,
    Rob

You're fine. Don't sweat it, when you dont remove that theres some oil in there that gets blown thru and goes out the exhaust. It will clear up.

Alright good. I was real worried there for a minute. All I kept thinking was "lots of white smoke either means blown turbo or head gasket". Thanks everyone. Now I can relax and go watch the game.

Re: PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!I think I screwed my motor up.(PICS)

Your screwed one of your turbo's up by blowing one of the gaskets on the turbo from not disconnecting the pcv.

JK Yep your ok. I've seen this done before and you just need to burn the oil out. But I hear you. I bet your heart skipped a few beats when you saw all that smoke coming out the back of the car.

Make sure and take the oil cover off and cap off the pcv next time!
