My New Exhaust

A week ago I bought the Magnaflow 16600 catback system. So far I couldn't be happier, the sound is not to loud, but not to quiet. Also it doesn't sound ricey or anything either. Yesterday I snapped some pics and quick videos to share.

I know this has nothing to do with the exhaust, but I just liked how it looked.

I pretty sure its because mine is FWD and the 16601 is for Quattro.

Not only is the resonator different, but the pipes leading to the rear mufflers are also routed differently between the two setups.

Are you happy with the rolled tip? I kind of liked the double walled tips that the 14851 mufflers had, but I could not find a shop to fo custom piping....so that is why I am liking the 16601 exhaust.

Just kinda of iffy about the tips (they do look in the pics though!)

love mine...and those tips are adjustable..well the whole thing is adjustable...but yours sounds a little quieter than mine.

Also curious if this exhaust, for the most part would be OK with a BAT setup

They do have "Magnaflow" written on the top of the tip, you can kind of see it in the first profile pic. I like the rolled tips, and yes they look a lot better from farther away.

looks good, sounds awesome! I've got a custom magnaflow set up without the middle res. muffler and it's a bit louder but has that same deepness. I love it!!

WHat you have to do is call performance peddler and they will give you the deal.
i already talked to the guy and effective oct 1st magnaflow did not want them showing that price.
But it is still available.

hey guys, first post here

so i literally picked up my new to me 2003 1.8T avant quattro and ive been planning a few mods on top of whats already on it...

question is, will the magnaflow fit the avant bodystyle? it is only listing sedan, but i cant see what could be that different between them?

ps: i would use hottexhaust for me, since i live in quebec, canada.

I do a ton of highway miles every day at about 70-80 mph. Does the magnaflow drone at that speed?

I'm leaning towards milltek because it's pretty quiet, but I fear it's too quiet for me. I want something that sounds good at WOT but is really quiet for highway cruising.

I think we're down to milltek and magnaflow. Magnaflow being slightly louder, and much cheaper, but it still has the lifetime guarantee.
