    what good is the snow catcher? it seems very restrictive. so what have you done with yours?

    threw mine away. But it can keep lots of crap outa your airbox. Just keep it clean.

    ya..seems to be good for keeping the airbox clean but it seems as though it would hurt performance and mpg

    so many other cars don't have this because it might not be necessary . . so if it did hurt performance and mpg why would Audi take the time to design it and produce it ? i just check mine for debris every oil change. it takes 2 min versus damaging anything else by taking it out

    anything that restricts your airflow is going to hurt performance...

    Are you refering to the drip pan under the motor? Someone did some logging of IATs and found they were lower with the pan on.

    I've left mine in and been fine with it. At least I know any big stuff can be cleared out in a few minutes. I found cigarette butts in there!

    12/23/09 - My car has been phenomenal to me. Runs strong. Don't think I'm ever going to sell it. Rather throw $7k into it for a refresh than buy a new A4 that has no dipstick.
    12/5/10 - 100k miles & counting!
    9/22/13 - 146k+ & running strong w/a new TB, water pump, etc.

    i leave it in during the summer.. we have a lot of bugs in the south, its always full of bugs, leaves and like someone else said, ciggie butt!... i take it out in the winter as i dont have any snow here...

    mine was filled with shit when i bought the car...but since i gave it a clean, it has stayed pretty clean for a year now
