my mechanic is going to get sued!

MY damn mechanic is going to get the fuck sued outta his ass. he had my car for a month said he was goin to fix the studdered now my car shacks like no one elses buisness and is makin a loud knock sound from the airbox. What the hell is a matter with him. im almost positive he grinded down my tb butterfly plate cuz i see more markings on my coilpacks that look almost identical to the marks on the tb. Hes got it coming to him. Any idea though what the noise from the Airbox could be?

cuz it had a small studder and i couldnt find out why it was studdering. I had already replaced coilpacks airfilter fuelfilter sparkplugs and still no fix. Ive checked for vaccume leaks and fixed a few valves that had been corrided and still it studders. So i took it to this guy that supposdly works on audis and blah blah calls me a month later and says the tb had been grinded down and accused me of doing it. I told him to put the tb back and no touch it anymore. I went to pick up my car and now it shakes waaaaay worse then what it had. It use to be driveable, a small studder only at idle and now it shakes all the time even while drivin down the highway and it cannot even hold a steady idle. i order a new tb off an audi tech and am going to replace it on my own and see if that is it. I hate this damn shit i want a new car. someone have any idea why it studdered before even after all the fixes?

umm all i have to say is wow, being a professional automotive technician, i cant possibly imagine why you would take that butterfly valve off and grind it down??? if it was a problem from the get go you would just sell a throttle body and be done, and a month?? This guy officially goes down as a hack, its people like this that give good mechanics like myself bad names.

You say there was small studder before you took it to him, which could have been a minor crack/chip in the butterfly valve, and over that month the rest of it just crumbled away. (Into your engine, which could lie more problems....)

Someone was trying to raise the idle or lean it out at idle. Since my cam install I've have a hard warm start issue, give it some gas and it'll fire right up. I've been thinking is drilling a small hole in the TB plate to lean it out at idle/start up.

Someone was trying to raise the idle or lean it out at idle. Since my cam install I've have a hard warm start issue, give it some gas and it'll fire right up. I've been thinking is drilling a small hole in the TB plate to lean it out at idle/start up.

If you drill a hole, then the ECU can't control idle speed and the idle speed will be to fast. Instead, consider using a start up air throttle bypass valve. A 12vdc solenoid valve with a ~1/4" orifice, connected with hose barb fittings, to connect to the intake manifold anywhere downstream of the throttle valve. Then, connect the solenoid to energize with the starter solenoid. While cranking, the bypass valve will be open admitting the extra air flow needed, then as soon as the engine starts releasing the key closes the bypass extra air and stops the starter at the same time.

look all i know is i never messed with the tb. never really had a reason or intention to until i heard what i heard from this guy. he marked the coil packs the same way the marks are on the tb. there scratched into the part. i didnt touch a damn thing if thats wat some of yall are insisting. when i took the car in it had a small studder. like i said now it has a loud knocking coming frm the airbox the car idles rougher then hell it can barely even stay on it sounds like. when i drive a let go of the gas the car shakes and studders and it had never done any of this until i got it back from him. before i took the car to him it had a studder only when in park and when i turned on the aircondition the studder went away completly. now it always shakes even while driving.

Most tuners are now blocking any changes to the adaptation channels by lemmiwinks or similar programs.
