    Replacing the Torque Converter

    hey my torque converter had just given out and now i need to replace it myself. and i to no if there any specials tools that i would need to take the transmission out. and if anybody no where i can find a download to download the repair manual for a 2000 audi s4 manual.

    go to harbor freight and pick up a pransmission jack ~$120 or so. I've done my 6 speed twice, but never an auto. Otherwise, I hear pulling the motor/tranny together is easier.

    You'll need some 12-point bits (M10 or M12), some torx bits, hex bits, lots of time, lots of patience, and maybe a case of beer or 2.
