Boost Leak???

So i think i have a boost leak. My car kinda wants to stall at idle and ive lost a couple pounds of boost. Never had this experience if its the case. Ive done a search but the threads ive come across havent been too informative. Looking for confirmation and help on how to do a pressure test to find the leak. Thanks

I've had plenty of misfires (feels like the car is about to stall if bad enough) becuase of boost leaks.

Do a pressure/smoke test.

no boost gauge yet? id vag it if possible, or at the least visibly inspect all the hoses and connections for any tears or loose clamps or something

I have a boost guage thats how i know i have lost some lbs of boost

When it feels like its going to stall it goes to 12-14 in vacuum.

I would say first thing, double check your mods.

Confirm your Forge's aren't leaking and are snug. Make sure your intake setup looks good still - MAF/clamps/intake etc are all snug and clean - including the plug to the MAF and any other hoses/connections in the area etc.

Then take off and inspect your throttle body boot (TBB) if you haven't had a chance to yet.

If nothing obvious, then pressure test.

Is this on or off throttle? (Guessing off) If so, you do have a boost leak and the car is trying to compensate.

Grab some Samco's from awetuning.com. They sell both the TBB and Fhose separately so you don't have to buy the entire $400 kit.

Or just do the Fhose delete.

you know whats crazy ive had my car for about 3 years and these were my first 2 ever and ive torn the boot again but replaced so its number 3 boot/leak and ive got another pending. So about 4 in a months time.
