Vogtland GT Coilovers On and Im Unsure

So we installed them today and of course ran into all the same problems.

Its my first time lowered, had stock sport, so Im not sure what to expect. I think its a bit too low right now, about 1 in above the wheel in the back and 1.5 in in the front. It rides nice over bumps, doesnt shake the car or cause it to jump around. Problem is dips, it seems to bounce a bit, even on fairly smooth roads. Is it because its too low? Is it because its new? Im just not quite felling the $1300 love.

Your welcome. I don't know, I was under the impression they would be tuned. I will have to ask the reseller on Mon.

Re: Vogtland GT Coilovers On and Im Unsure

It might be that the added weight in the back makes it sag a bit compared to if they were installed on a sedan. Your avant looks incredible right now, just if the back was a bit higher and the front was a bit lower it would be perfect. Maybe if the back was higher it would cure the bouncing because the damper would be more in its optimal range. But i can't say for certain.

All these avant+coilover threads are making me convince myself to spend a bunch of money on a set for my car, shame on you guys.

I was reading that those Start-Up Racing Vogtland coil-overs are not adjustable from a damping and rebound perspective.

Let us know how you like them after you've got some miles on them. I am leaning towards them for my Avant.

I havent tried this on my stasis but what i am told is to trim the bump stops. if you are hitting them it can cause the pogo effect. i get a little bit here and there.
