    Bad Window Replacement Job!!

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
I had my window replaced for $185. This is what it looks like now....

I don't really remember what it used to look like but obviously there was some time of filler that covered the space between the window and the body of the car.

Can anyone post pics of the top and bottom of their windshield?

Also, I should demand they put new "filler" or whatever you want to call it, right?

No filler, just a foam gasket...

From the looks of your pictures, the rest of the car needs help too.

Tons of wax in every crevice along the windshield and roof. Wipe down the foam gasket with peanut oil and it will look good as new.

for $185 it sounds like an aftermarket window. They dont fit like oem so its not going to be perfect. Does it leak?

There are no scratches or blemishes on the window.

    Re: Bad Window Replacement Job!!

it is an aftermarket window that doesn't fit correctly.

I'm going to try to take it back and ask for a factory windshield. It may leak at the bottom and that's unacceptable.
