^^^But you don't deal with winters like we do :-)

I've read that with certain BT setups, some people use plugs that're a step colder than their summer plugs.....I'm actually looking into this as well. I'm running BKR 7e's right now, but might switch to the Bosch Ft6 (or somethin like that....can't remember the part number), but they are slightly colder than the 7e's......someone correct me if I'm wrong

LOL you don't have much of a winter in Beantown. You should not have to run different plugs in winter, just run the f6dtc on BATS and the BT's actually and you should be ok. I can't wait for winter, last winter with a BT was great I'm looking forward to cold dense air with the S256

5w30 would be good. I myself have continued to use M1 0w40 all year, did it last year with the 2.0L after break in and for the 5 prior. I do changes at 3k, but need to get a sample out to Blackstone just to see whats going on.

We get snow like one day out of the year, and most of the time its ICE.

Yup PA. I spent 2 seasons in Cali (Tahoe) and know what crazy winters are like. I've never lived where winter = -20* though like New Hampshire, Maine, Vermont, North Dakota etc... but have passed through them and had a week in the -10* to 10* in relatively stock form, but still ran 0w40. No issues with that in those temps short term from my experience. Our local temps in winter are about equal so just stick with Castrol or Mobil1 0w40 or 5w30, both are fabulous. I've always run Mobil1 0w40 without thinking twice. I always use a OEM filter these days as well, I used to use Napa Gold 1333, but went back to OEM because they cost the same basically.
