Has anyone tried the DV relocation?? Ive seen kits and DIYs on it and its easy to install and is said to help due to moving it away from heat on the passenger side. that makes since so anyone try it??

    Re: DV relocation

Been done on the B5's many times. It helps because less air is released from the system and only the area of the IC pipe between the TB and BPV/BOV no longer has air flowing thru it but the rest of the system does. This will decrease lag.

This is why you will see most race setups will have the BOV placed about 6" away from the TB.

    My setup.

Mike that makes a lot more sense than a heat issue. Besides race situations It would really only make sense if you're on and off the throttle a lot in boost, like a canyon drive or something.

Well it also does help that it is putting colder air back into the TIP instead of hot air that hasn't gone thru the FMIC/SMIC yet.

It's a Tial 50mm blow off valve just in front of the throttle body.

DV relocation is one of those "feel good" modifications. It may or may not achieve anything but hopefully you will feel better about doing it.

I am not taking it personally...

I cannot wait to see the progress on your turbo kits...

Hopefully they will be right online with the Full-Race stuff we have.
